Living as Your Core Self 2 - why make the choice to align?

4/15/2018

In part 1 of this series - what is the Core self?  we look at the journey we take from the normal adult self that is not yet transparent to the energies of the Core Self, and how we begin to release in to being increasingly compassionate loving adults open to our more expansive truth, presence and guidance.

In this post, we  discuss what happens to us and all of the advantages and benefits that open up as we follow this path:

Present time powerful adult-  Since the adult is not invested in protecting against past pain and hurt, this is an authentically powerful state of being in the present time as an adult,  We  develop the ability to see through events, circumstances and patterns that might have triggered us in to acting or being reactive earlier.  We know we are able to call on the presence and power of something that is greater than us, in a way that is inclusive rather than separative.

Fun and Playfulness of child -  When we live from and as the Core Self, the adult is able to naturally step aside and be vigilant on behalf of the Inner child.  As a result we are more open to innocent playfulness and to more fun.  As your child within feels safe it can show you how to create a lot of magic, spontaneity and joy on your path, and to play with and as the energies of the Core self.  We can relax on our sense of seriousness and play again,

Inner guidance on tap-  Omniscience, true vision and intuition are all qualities of the Core self, that we can learn to access, increasingly on our path as we evolve.  We have access to true guidance, from a place of stepping aside our insistence of already knowing it all, to opening to the quiet voice within, and to guidance and knowing from our higher realms of intelligence. More here.

Synchronicity- Life unfolds as if from a place of deep synchronicity and magic.  Events and circumstances transpire that while aligned with our visions and dreams, seem to happen without much if any conscious effort on our part. Synchronicity becomes more and more a natural part of our daily life, in a way that we can trust that life is for us, and we can depend on its assistance both on a moment by moment and even a constant basis.

Peace- We are constantly guided to remain anchored or connected to deeper states of peace, no matter what is unfolding around us or within our lives.  As the normal adult self relaxes and recognizes a larger presence that is the Core Self, everything that previously might have been a big deal, caused us to go in to drama, and or to grasping on to external or identity based reference points and needing external stimulation, gradually starts to become less attractive.  We learn to enjoy and make friends with peace again.  We can access and remain connected to peaceful and expansive and open heart states, even as we deeply feel all of life's currents, and as we respond to its needs.

Sense of natural Abundance- The Core self is naturally abundant, and as we rest in this place, we learn to see ourselves as the creators and cause of all we experience, we release ideas of scarcity, and learn to trust in life's abundance, and in our ability to meet outer circumstances from a knowing of inner abundance.  The more we return and rest in this natural abundance that is the Core self, the more we are able to activate natural synchronicity , miracles and have all our needs met and more. We live from sufficiency, and can thrive again.

It merely takes willingness to engage with a few simple steps I have touched on in Part 1 and will elaborate on in Part 3, in my experience, that allows us to step over in to the passenger seat of the vehicle that is your Core Self with trust, while feeling at ease and safe,  Is a learning process, moment by moment and day by day, and you can honor any parts that are resisting, scared, or wanting to pull away in to the ingrained patterns, with love. The rewards are wonderful.

Living as Your Core Self 1 - Compassionate Adult/Golden Child

3/26/2018

This is the first of a series of blog posts to assist you to in being more present and living from the Core of who you are, or the Core Self.  In this post we take a look at some of the qualities of the Core self, and the journey we take in becoming transparent to its essence energies.  We also take a look at how our normal adult awareness inadvertently acts to block our full knowing of this self.

The core self is the essence of you that is unchanged by your life's experiences, and in it purest expression is comparable to the energy of a bright shining child - a Golden child.  When we are connected to this essence we may not always be ebullient, and will still feel deeply all of life's experiences, yet sense from a deeper place that life is joyful and all is well no matter what the circumstances.  The Core self is the real and unchanging part of you, that in its higher aspects is also the source of your wisdom, love and infinite intelligence..

In our normal experience of life, this essence and childlike brightness is normally covered over to the extent that you as the adult are protecting against feeling either current pain, or the hurts that the child suffered while growing up. We might feel unable to provide love and compassion to these hurt parts of self,  Instead we might act out to protect ourselves from feeling pain in less than beneficial ways, such as being reactive or being triggered in to engaging with habits of thinking and behaving that are unhelpful.

The first step is to honor the child aspect of the Core self as real, we know and relate to this aspect through our feeling states, by simply being present to our feelings and allowing our experience to include painful or hurtful feelings and emotions, when these are present and or surface.

Next we might choose to love and understand what  has hurt us, so we may release these hurts.  Loving what does not feel good does not come naturally to us.  Hence part of this journey of learning to love is allowing our normal adult awareness to step aside and connect to all of the Inner guidance and support that is constantly available,

An important part of learning to love and listening in to guidance is engaging in dialogue with any hurt or wounded aspects, recognizing any mistaken beliefs that may be keeping us stuck, and receiving insights about what is really true and what will allow us to open and expand our hearts again and be free to move forward.

This moving aside of our normal adult awareness in to higher guidance and openness to loving ourselves is a process we learn to move through again and again so we may become more integrated and whole, and know ourselves as one with the core self or essence of who we are.

Through this journey, and as our normal adult awareness (including the conditioned ideas of self) starts to release its idea of centrality, we drop in to a growing awareness of the Core self.  As adults we can now become more of a transparent filter to the pure and lighter aspects of being, and enjoy a lot more flexibility in our choices. Other benefits include being receptive to higher guidance so we may receive more of what is truly on our path, as well as enjoying the unfolding that occurs as we become more loving and vigilant to the inner child and it feeling states.

This is both a childlike space where we are surrendered and open to life, as well as a space of authentic presence and power, where you have access to your unlimited creativity and genius, along side the childlike qualities of curiosity, enthusiasm, exuberance and joy.

Can our Desires lead to or serve Wholeness?

6/26/2017

As we go through our day and from moment to moment, we have a constant and never ending stream of thoughts and desires that we feel called to act on.  Depending on what we give our focus, energy and attention to, we can either experience greater union,  joy and wholeness, or conversely our thoughts and desires can pull us away from our center to only feel more fragmented and lacking.

Pursuing fragmented thoughts or desires in order to complete ourselves or feel whole, will in practice never lead to wholeness.   We are already whole and everything we seek is indeed within us, and through simply aligning with our Higher selves we can start with this deep sense of completion and peace. From here, we can also begin to transform our outer experience and release any beliefs that limit us.

When we can start with wholeness, we perceive clearly that no desire or outer circumstance will complete us or make up for any lack we perceive. Certainly not in a static or ongoing way, as every desire will lead to a new desire when fulfilled.

Although achieving our desires will not complete us, as souls and spiritual beings we are also here to experience desire and to unfold our highest path, through appropriate choice and discrimination. Our challenge can very often be in discriminating between desires that  arise from the depths of our hearts and souls, and surface desires that arise from mistaken identification, egoic minding and craving.

In fact accurate discrimination is key to our enjoying, and wholly experiencing the greater life that is wanting to be lived through us, as well as to engaging with what is directly on our destiny paths and serves our wholeness.

From our intuition of wholeness, we can trust in whatever is present and in our ability to accurately discriminate between thoughts and desires that serve us and are divinely inspired, and ones that would increase our sense of fragmentation or of not having enough when acted on.

We do not need to constrict our innately pure life force, or beat up or judge ourselves for having feelings and desires that we know do not serve our higher good.  We can embrace both the loving and the shadow aspects of our self as Whole, while releasing what does not serve us. This frees our energy to pursue our hearts dreaming and to engage wholeheartedly with our path and purpose, and our divinely inspired desires and goals.

Wholeness Practice –

You may wish to include one or more of the following approaches to remembering wholeness, in to your daily practice.

Intention  - Having a strong intention to remember you are already whole can be helpful in itself, "I am whole and perfect as i am, I do not need any outer circumstance to complete me. I take inspired action to allow myself to receive, knowing that i am an already whole and coherent spark of the Divine."

Questioning – Simply asking a question “Does  this thought or desire serve me and come from wholeness, or am i perceiving lack?”.
If there is fear, then I can assume that there is lack or limitation in my thinking, and can return to alignment with the place where I am connected with inspiration and wholeness.

Awareness and Vigilance  -  The normal thought stream when directed by the intellect, cannot intuit wholeness and is inherently based on perceptions of lack and separation.  We therefore need to shift our consciousness and to become vigilant to where we may be misled by thoughts of lack. Cultivating a regular mindfulness or meditative practice is very helpful to overcome the normal patterns of mind.
Through quieting the mind, we can shift our thinking from the normal intellect to being guided by clear reason, intuition and inspiration. We can constantly redirect our thinking to wholeness.

Unleash your Inner Child

2/17/2015

In this post I share several ways, including a brief meditation, that will help release the energies of your Inner Child. The work we do with freeing the Child is also a gateway to connecting with the wisdom of our Higher selves.

The Inner Child may be viewed as the Emotional or subconscious aspect of yourself, that when free is spontaneously playful, enthusiastic and engaged.

Your Inner Child needs you to support its freedom, joy and a vast array of feeling states. In practice we most often do not allow ourselves spontaneous freedom of expression, through several mechanisms that include self consciousness, judging or beating ourselves up, feeling overwhelmed or burdened with responsibilities, suppressing our emotions and engaging in addictive and compulsive behaviours.

As a result of our habitual patterning it may take some time and willingness to recognise and release whatever is keeping us from being on friendlier and warmer terms with the Inner Child. However the effort is well worth the time we invest, as I keep discovering for myself.

The process of releasing the Inner Child is both difficult and easy, depending on how invested we are in the idea and stories of Self and our willingness to let go, as well as how much negativity we may have experienced in the past and are yet to heal or integrate.

Letting go entails healing and forgiving and being willing to feel all the ways in which we have cut ourselves off or closed our hearts to the child within. Simply choosing to become aware and present to any ongoing feelings of either sadness, rage, hatred, arrogance, hurt and pain that we may be expressing or unconsciously blocking or denying.

Everytime we act unforgivingly toward ourselves or another, when we give in to compulsive behaviours and habits, we are introducing an arbitrary distance or separation from the energy of the Core Self, and further disowning the Inner Child.

However your Core self remains innocent and nothing you experience ever changes the Essence of who you are. As we remain connected with the healing process and release the pain from any experiences where we may have felt separated from love, we are able to reconnect with the joy and exuberance of the Child again, which was always present and asking to be released for you to reclaim your life energy and feel safe to relax and play again.

Connecting with these feelings of innocence, simplicity, playfulness of the Inner Child is also one way in which we access the wisdom and knowing and allow all of the expansive qualities of the Divine self to manifest through us. Since the Divine self is all knowing and all pervasive, we have to let go of everything we think we know and being okay with the unknown in order to create space and allow higher inspiration and it’s presence to flower more fully. Freeing the Inner Child as such may be thought of as a gateway to accessing the energy and wisdom of your Divine Self.

Connecting with Inner Child as a Sub-personality - Meditation

You might connect with your Inner Child as a sub-personality, through the following brief meditation.
Make an intention to enter sacred space. Take a few deep breaths and shift your focus from your mind to your heart centre. It may help to picture yourself entering an elevator in your mind, moving down from the 10th floor to the ground floor, and as you descend imagine coming down in to to your heart.

Invite the presence of your Inner Child in to your awareness, (you may recognise it’s feeling quality or simply pretending you are connected and giving it a voice to speak will work as well)
acknowledge it and ask it a few questions, such as
How are you? What do you need from me? In what way have I been dishonouring you or curbing your fuller expression?

Then listen and make an intention to strengthen this rapport by heeding the answers you receive. It is important that you be available for full emotional and verbal expression. Your Inner Child needs you to support its freedom, joy and a vast array of feeling states.

Addictiveness versus Playfulness with Present Moment Awareness

As adults we tend to segment work and play as being entirely separate, and play is a time when we allow ourselves to let off steam. Because of our association of play with down time or with releasing stress , the result is often confusion between playfulness and being addictive or compulsive about the things we enjoy.

In contrast, the Child can be fully absorbed in and enjoy something intensely and then release it the next moment without attachment, being present to new opportunities and savoring the possibility that being fully here and now allows. It knows that all learning, growth and experience happens within the context of play.

Affirmations to Nurture and Unleash Inner Child

I share a few affirmations that will help you to connect with and nurture the energy of the child within. I invite you to take what resonates with you, or better still create statements that work for you.

Safety - I am safe to play, to take risks and to make mistakes,

Loved and Worthy - I love myself unconditionally..I now claim and am stepping more fully in to all of my heartfelt desires and dreams

Possibility - I am excited about what I will dream into being, encounter and accomplish today

Playful - I make good choices and move toward things that are fun, enjoyable and for my highest good.

Acknowledgement - I look for, acknowledge and celebrate the good in myself and others.

Starting any sentence with the words - I Wonder .........
Is another way to activate and bring on line the spirit of the Inner Child.

Reflect on the Qualities of the Inner Child, and think of ones that you might want to take on and allow to be more present in your day to day experience. These may include - innocence, vulnerability, defencelessness, spontaneously playful, curious, wondering and excited at possibility, living within mystery
and magic.

Picture
At the same time it is helpful to distinguish between childlike qualities and childishness. Childishness is marked by impulsiveness (blocked or repressed energy seeking expression), being gullible or giving away power, giving in to anger tantrums (throwing our toys out of the pram :)), or otherwise regressing and acting out of states of helplessness and powerlessness.

Further, we are all endowed with sufficient amounts of seriousness, and this is not to understate the importance of compassion, and being responsible for our choices, thoughts and actions. However it is easy to lose our sense of humour and perspective, when we forget what the child is reminding us of, that in most circumstances we can choose a stance of being more light hearted and playful.

A reminder -the inner child is not another idea we want to hold on to and create solidity or identity around, however the feelings of lightness, wonder and playfulness are ones we can always return to.

I invite you to take the time to heal your relationship with your Inner Child, and allow the wisdom of the Child to express, to feel more fully and to play!

Some of the rewards  for reopening this connection are a happier, more balanced life, more self respect, self-love as well as opening to all the gifts that this surrendered space will allow your Higher Self to unfold for you.

Trusting your Intuitive Knowing

12/9/2014

We each have an unfailing guidance system and intuition of higher wisdom from our Higher self, though we may or may not have practised tuning into and having complete faith in this knowing.  Faith is the movement of the thinking mind toward  truth with confidence.

While Faith sounds like a loaded word, we are always giving our faith to something. For instance we often use faith to bring on ourselves things we do not want, or the things we fear. And more positively you may have engaged faith to bring about changes or to create something that you set your heart on bringing about.

Practicing faith in knowing (or intuiting) Truth is simply a change in attitude, of redirecting our belief and faith to what is beyond our human reason, though not opposed to it. It is an exercise in releasing the predominance we give to the human intellect, so we begin to use more of our intuitive or higher mind.

How do we distinguish and recognise the voice of the Intuitive mind? From my experience it is a quiet voice that is soft, gentle and quietly exciting. It is the experience of just knowing. Following it leads to more joy. It is the source of our creative hunches. The guidance we receive is always for our highest good and also involves the highest good of everyone else. It’s message is consistently to relax and to know that all is well.

If you are unsure if a message is from Intuition or from your ego mind or personality self, you can always check in through your heart space, several times if you need to, to see if it rings true. Rather than go back in to the thinking process of this is what I should or shouldn’t do.

Following your intuitive knowing always brings a sense of expansion, as well as ease and grace. We align ourselves with natural abundance and with helpful coincidences or synchronistic events. When we follow this guidance we we feel at peace and authentically powerful.   As you trust in your knowing and intuition, you are no longer dependent upon the opinions of others for any sense of your identity or self-worth.

Because we are not used to relinquishing our intellectual thinking process to the higher mind, awakening our deep wisdom and intuitive gifts can often be troubling to our ordinary perception of who we are. We in fact resist the unknown and find it more comfortable to lock in to known patterns of thinking and being, even though these are no more than habits. Being okay with this discomfort and sense of being disturbed is part of the evolutionary path of coming to know the self more fully. I am reminded of the caterpillar struggling with the process of releasing it’s hard exterior, till it recognises it is in fact transforming in a magnificent butterfly.

You are expanding in to the magnificence of who you are, with your willingness for this to unfold, and it helps to be very patient and compassionate with yourself through this process, and ever willing to go deeper. It is helpful to allow and be sensitive to any tumultuous feelings that arise and when these do come up, whether this may be anger, sadness, hurt or hate, allow these to move through you, while knowing these are just feelings and are not who you are.  Further, there is nothing wrong with us for having these feelings. We are simply releasing mistaken ideas of identification, so we can embrace our deeper knowing with joy.

The next time you feel your choices being limited in any situation, I invite you to practice bringing more awareness or presence to the situation and notice how your awareness of your choices also seems to expand. Enjoy the journey of expanding in to your magnificence!
Be kind with yourself through the process.

Addictive Thinking versus True Intelligence

4/27/2014

When we experience problem states, no matter what the problem that we wish to solve (whether this relates to a relationship, work or health for instance), the underlying problem is almost invariably one of not being easily able to disengage from the thinking process, and of mistaking the thinking process we are engaged in as one with our primary intelligence.

To move back in to the spontaneous flow, innate intelligence and energy of the True/Higher Self, requires insight and willingness to heal this process of addictive thinking.  The processes used in transpersonal therapy help you in recognising that the ongoing thinking process (particularly if limiting or judgemental in any way), is merely a projection that helps cover over areas where we have experienced hurt, separation and disconnection from the Self in the past.  The healing process is one of forgiving these issues and returning to deeper levels of self –lov

Picture
What I am referring to as addictive thinking (as opposed to true intelligence) can be better understood in the context of a pictorial view of the Three Levels of Mind that is a helpful map to the territory of how our mind functions.

While the proper function of the rational /conscious mind is that of setting direction, and drawing inspiration from the Higher Self. We have extended this function of the Conscious Mind to rigidly protect our ideas about ourselves, to stay in the known territory, and to that extent even to shut out our own higher intelligence and guidance.

The idea of self that is being protected by the Conscious and Subconscious mind is based on our individual experiences and memory, and once a pattern is established, this simply plays out from the Subconscious memory and from emotional triggers we have yet to fully integrate.

Merely as a natural result of growing up and requiring to function as adults in the world most of us are in fact either consciously or unconsciously working with deep patterns of hurt, anger, rejection, betrayal, abandonment that are then numbed out or covered up by addictive and problem states.  Till we are prepared to face these patterns and heal them..

No matter what the presenting problem, when we face and release these deeper issues that are blocking self love, and soften the limiting ideas we are engaged with we are able to experience healing and successful outcomes.  As a result we are also helped to become more fluid and transparent to our own power and light.

When we soften our addictive clinging to our ideas of self, and return to our Heart space we are naturally in touch with our true intelligence, and the Conscious and Subconscious aspects of the personality can now return to a natural alignment with the Higher Self.

Why it is important to have a healthy Ego!

3/29/2014

The ego which is our collection of ideas about ourselves as individual human physical beings has been under severe attack, for a while now as we continue our journey of awakening to our deeper truth.   This is for good reason, and a primary approach of transpersonal hypnotherapy is to help  soften our allegiance to the egoic identity and awaken to the true or inner self, thereby releasing problem states.

However,  while attaching to our ideas of ourself is the fundamental cause of our problem states, I argue here that having an idea of self is not in itself a bad thing.  I have been recently discovering this for myself, when I recognised that I had been harbouring a very vigilant sub-personality that actively and unceasingly policed myself and others at anything that could be seen as ego inflating or self-aggrandizing thought and behaviour.  While this sounds like a healthy sub-personality, this was in fact a sub-part that has often kept me from stepping up to be more and not fully allowing the soul to shine in all its wonderful colours, and furthermore this supposedly well-meaning part would require that I play judge or feel competitive with others who did allow themselves to shine without apology.

Hence the inspiration to write this post which reflects a more embracing and balanced perspective, which is to recognise that having an ego and a sense of self is not the problem, we wouldn’t do very much or go anywhere without the healthy sense of self.  The problem is when we allow ourselves to be run by the imbalanced ego mind.

Picture

A healthy relationship to the ego is necessary, desirable and very helpful not just to our very physical existence, but also has a vital role to play on our awakening journey.  While we want to constantly change, soften and refine how we relate to the egoic thinking process, I do not believe that the goal is to get rid of the ego, which is in fact an impossibility, or to purify it out of existence or disown it.  A healthy balanced Ego is in fact necessary and helpful in several respects, including:

·         The healthy ego infact provides us the charge, desire, urgings and even ambition to change, to make things better, to grow and to move toward what we want, and to be more of the self.  It can greatly facilitate our drive towards what we prefer.  When we attempt to run with no ego or with too much humility can on the other hand often lead to issues with confidence and self worth.

·         When the ego or personal identity is rightly functioning and balanced it becomes the very vehicle for expressing the nobility and gifts of the soul

·         Even the imbalanced ego has a helpful function, in alerting us to our inner state and to the fact that we have moved away from balance.  We would do well in this regard to pay attention to what the ego is pointing us to whether this is defensiveness or fear or other feeling states, without being pulled in to drama or acting out on it's impulses.

The journey is, I sense, about finding the right balance between egotism (ie self-importance and false pride is self) and humility.  True power is off course expressed through humility and in recognising the outer universe as merely symbolic of the inner world.  In this journey a healthy refined ego can be an aspect of our embodiment also in service to the soul, allowing a more fuller expression of the gentle flowing river of spirit.

It is off course ever in our best interest to cultivate states of alert awareness, and of deep listening to our inner voices and emotional states, so we do not allow ourselves to be run by or carried away by this part of the mind, particularly to situations and thoughts of us being either the aggrieved victim, or as being specially gifted or specially great.  When we do come across these states we can relate to the ego mind as we would to a little child, reassuring it with love and the knowing that everything is well.

Beyond this awareness, I think it is also healthy to acknowledge that the ego serves an important function as a part of our physical embodiment.  When in balance and properly functioning, we can allow it to be a vehicle so that we may express as our Higher Selves and bring forward our gifts, and talents to serve the higher good.

In the context of awakening we want to soften our addiction to thinking and identification in terms of the personal self or ego.  As we continue to attend to the work of purifying and dis-identifying or detaching from an idea of personal self as identity, a healthy egoic strength now allows us to be more of who we are, and to enhance the journey of the soul.

Making Space for your Big Vision - Now is a perfect time

3/4/2014

This post discuss the very conducive energies of this year to engaging your creative side, and how this is an ideal time to act on and bring forward your highest visions and your heart’s dreaming.
Picture
Since the beginning of February, 2014 we have entered in to the Year of the Green Horse (within the cycle of chinese astrology). You may have already noticed that the energies of this year are a lot more supportive for engaging your vision and passion and allowing your big projects and creative ideas to unfold. This is so different from the sense of constriction and challenge that marked our day to day experience in the years immediately preceding this one. A client and friend who is contemplating a significant change shared this with me last week..

“I feel so positive about the prospect of a move. It feels like a cloud is lifting. I sense there is great energy behind it all and I sense the universe is encouraging me to embrace change and move on to the next adventure.”

What big adventure do you sense you are being called to give your energy and passion to at this time? We have in a sense passed the point of having to push against strong walls of resistance, and now is a great time for committing to and taking action. What is your pet project? Is there a passion or a vision for change that have you been secretly harbouring? If you have been holding yourself back in any way, I invite you to visit these dreams and give them space to unfold, to act on them as you are being guided to do and to embrace the changes that this will likely call for you to make.

The drive to engage our biggest passions and vision will inevitably see us being faced with challenges as well. Even with the energy of the Green Horse behind us, there is a lot still left for us to do and be mindful about! Some of the specific challenges include:

- Ensuring we put in place appropriate structures and boundaries that support what we desire to create and to see manifested in our realities.

- Working with our natural rhythms in deciding when we move in to outward action ie when energy and inspiration is flowing, and being mindful of natural down times and ebbs in energy when we are better attending to self care, and doing things that are nourishing or just plain simply fun.

- As we move toward and reach higher with our visions, we are inevitably faced with a lot of uncertainty. Tuning in to intuition and confidently acting on your intuitive guidance is how we can best relate to uncertainty. As we take action on what we are intuitively guided to do, we begin to see more of the bigger picture as well as how we can get there, and the next steps we can take will appear.

- Being in right relationship to the moment, so we are not engaging in busy action that gets us nowhere. When we do find ourselves pushing in a direction that is not working, it is a helpful reminder to exercise more self love and compassion. This is an opportunity to get silent so you are able to listen in to your inner voice again, as well as remembering to stay balanced, grounded and aligned with the Heart and the energies of the Higher Self.

- Making sure we reach out for support and help from others who are able to help us take our next steps. Making big changes is a always a co-creative and a collaborative process, and we are all in this together!

The big vision I am referring to here is not merely about a change in external circumstances, though it may likely include that, as much as it is about expressing and bringing to life more of your innate talents, passions, gifts and skills, of expressing more of who you already are. When you pursue this vision and your hearts calling, it will not only bring you joy, but also allow you to make a difference to others on the planet. Your dream or vision may be something simple that you are already doing and want to give more attention to, such as indulging your favourite hobby, or signing up to a rock climbing or an art or pottery class, or it could be something completely life altering and a decision that you are going to finally go forward and take the next step with your dream business or change your career, or move to a new city, or return to nature.

As you reach for the sky, call up your vision, fuel your plans with creativity, find a fresh path and pace yourself well. Higher guidance is with us every step of the way.

Benefits of the Transpersonal Approach to Hypnotherapy

2/24/2014

Picture

Transpersonal Hypnotherapy goes beyond seeking change at the personality level to help you access the intuition and wisdom of your Inner/Higher self. A primary goal of the Approach is to help release all the bocks to reconnecting and fully expressing the parts of yourself that are already whole, healed and unconditionally loving and strong.

How Transpersonal Hypnotherapy Can Help You

 Using a transpersonal approach can enhance the wonderful results that conventional hypnotherapy techniques already delivers, the vital difference being that problems are released primarily through insight and awakening to your own power, rather than through reliance on specific techniques – this is valid for any areas that hypnotherapy may be considered for -including health issues, healing  relationships, increasing confidence, motivation, releasing an addiction or scripting your future and stepping in to your vision.

 While helping you access your inner magic and archetypal energies of the Inner self, the approach does not promise quick fixes or magical cures. Instead you are helped to recognise a greater level of responsibility for what you are creating in you life and how you can become a joyful creator of your experience of reality, rather than being at effect of external events and circumstances.

 By helping soften the trance of personal self as identity, you are helped to reconnect with the inherent purity of your true nature and to move back in to the exuberant free flow of emotions, innocence as well as the fun and playfulness of the inner child. This awareness is often clouded over to the extent that we are attached to ideas of limitation and of the personal self as identity.

 Through the work you are helped to rediscover flexibility of choice and present time adult awareness, as well as to distinguish the various roles you play from fixed reality or identity, while remembering that none of these roles ever define the truth of who you are.

 Greater awareness of the Spiritual path and journey

Since the work with Johneal over a period of eight sessions, I have now overcome  issues that had taken over my life in a negative way and continue to unravel them. I am happy again, more relaxed about life generally and able to communicate properly with others and to deal with anything that life throws at me. On top of this, I am enjoying myself, and for the first time in years I can feel happiness within me.

Today I feel more at ease in all situations, more objective and more confident. After the sessions, I always felt some element of release; confidence in myself, more at ease, less pain, and always conclude with some new focus. But the brilliant thing about Johneal's method of work is that it is organic. It grows naturally, it is not forced. And by result the outcome is fantastic. He has also helped me achieve my initial goal of stopping smoking and exceed this.

Judgemental thoughts are never true!

When we go in to mental battle with ourselves or with another person it is because of our unquestioned allegience to ideas that are not true.

The egoic thinking stream is a collection of ideas about who we think we are, and who we think the others we are in relationship with are. And one of the primary ways we hold these ideas of identification in place is through judgement.

Judgemental thoughts can either be directed against another person or against ourselves. When directed against another person, the judging thoughts ensure that we protect and hold on to our concept of self by making the other person wrong in their thoughts and behaviours. Even when other people’s behaviours may be inappropriate or we may be at the receiving end of hurtful behaviour, by making this personal, about me or about the other person, we can feed patterns of judgement and resentment that are very painful and also very unproductive. Till we determine to forgive and unravel these patterns. Very often what we are judging in another person is indicative of something we may need to learn about ourselves, or a projection of parts of ourselves that we are not yet prepared to own.

It is helpful to remember that people are functioning from their own view of the world and are doing the best they know how, given their background, circumstances and beliefs. Rather that judge, we could choose to see any negativity we perceive or directed toward us from another as a request for love.

When we are not judging other people, the judgement mechanism can be turned in on ourselves, as when we beat ourselves up about our own thoughts, behaviours and perceived limitations, and for having negative feelings. When we catch ourselves in these cycles of self judgement, we can choose to send love to all of our thoughts, to love our weaknesses, and our sense of vulnerability as well as our strengths.
In releasing self judgement or judgement of another with compassion we are remembering to to realign with the Truth of Self.
